Large kitchen & living space in Long Buckby

Project Introduction

Our client from Long Buckby, Northampton approached us with a remarkable project. They owned a relatively new 5-bedroom house and had a vision of transforming their living space. Their goal was to remove the internal wall separating their large living room from the kitchen and dining area, creating a seamless, open-concept space at the rear of their home. As we are able to do internal wall removals all in house by our own team, we were more than happy to create this for them.

Kitchen Design

First things first, we measured all the spaces including the utility room and we presented to the client a fully planned kitchen design. In order to make things perfect for our customer in Northampton, we did many revisions of the fitted kitchen design until the client was happy. We made sure to consider everything from electric socket locations, appliance specs, internal door styles, lighting etc. as we know that details are important. 

Structural Modification

With the final design in place, we embarked on the task of removing the internal wall. Our in-house team, who are equipped to handle both load-bearing and non-load-bearing wall removals, ensured a seamless process. To maintain structural integrity, a steel support beam was installed to bear the load, enabling the creation of a wide, open space - which is exactly what the client wanted. We also created a new set of double doors to replace two individual doors, which created a fantastic entrance point. 

Aside from the kitchen, we also transformed the utility room by installing matching units, which tied the project together beautifully. Additionally, we boxed in the boiler, which allowed for a much cleaner and sleeker look. Further to this, all heating work and flooring was supplied and installed by us.

As you can see from the images, we created a complete transformation for this home in Northampton.
